An alien you can actually have a conversation with.

Wormhole is an alien you can actually meet. Walk up and it finds your face, listens to what you say, and answers back in real time with a personality all its own, opinions included, its body moving with whatever it decides to tell you.

The talking was never the hard part. The work went into everything around it: deciding what this thing is and where it came from, so it had opinions worth hearing, then designing the encounter itself. How it notices someone arriving. How it keeps its attention on whoever is speaking in a room full of noise. How long it lets a silence sit. What its body does while it thinks. How one conversation ends so the next person can start theirs. The scripts and the tone were tested and rewritten until it came across as a character with a point of view instead of an assistant waiting to be useful.

Underneath the character sits a cloud connected stack of generative language, voice, and vision models. Born as an experiment inside the Monks experience team, it became a working prototype for human-to-robot conversation and held court at AWS re:Invent.
