To launch the Zinger in the U.S., KFC did the only reasonable thing: sent one to space. With Wieden+Kennedy and WorldView, the sandwich rode a custom-built robotic bucket satellite to the edge of the atmosphere, broadcast live on kfcin.space and Facebook.

The mission came fully equipped: an interactive countdown timeline, live telemetry, a scientifically detailed study of the sandwich, and a WebGL rocket with a selfie stick, a flag-waving arm, and the Colonel’s voice on a gold cassette tape over Earth.
